Storyboard Artist

JOB BRIEF

The storyboard artists must reflect and interpret the original intention of the script, illustrate the narrative, and storyboarding of animated films.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create storyboards based on the script and director’s vision.
  • Convey the narrative, pacing, and composition through visuals.
  • Collaborate with other artists and departments to achieve project goals.
  • Sequencing the scenes from a script into storyboard format using panels of images to dictate the action, timing, and character movement.
  • Follow instructions given by the storyboard supervisor and lead storyboard artist.
  • Improving storyboard scenes during the course of production.
  • Pitch storyboards to Supervisor, Director, crew, executives, and team members – Receive feedback, then implement notes given.
  • Perform any other works which may be assigned from time to time. (Storyboard field)
  • Performance and responsibilities are compliance with regulations and internal audit processes.

JOB AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 0-2 years of experience working as a professional within their discipline.
  • Strong knowledge in 2D Animation or 3D Production is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using storyboard software and tools.
  • Excellent drawing and storyboarding skills.
  • Ability to translate script and direction into visual sequences.
  • Willingness to collaborate and make revisions as needed.
  • Good Command of English (Writing, Speaking, Reading).
  • Ability to Problem Solving, Communication Skills, Team work, Positive Thinking, and Presentation Skills.
