The IP/Project Manager is the strategic architect of The Monk Studios’ original content slate. This role is responsible for the end-to-end development of original and co-production projects, from initial concept and market research to securing international “greenlight” status through global pitching and partnership development.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scout for global animation trends and market gaps to ensure our IP slate aligns with what broadcasters and streamers are currently seeking.
- Lead high-stakes pitches at international markets to secure investors, distributors, and co-production partners.
- Collaborate closely with Directors and internal creative teams to sharpen pitch bibles, scripts, and artwork.
- Negotiate co-production terms and maintain long-term relationships with global studio heads and distribution partners.
- Oversee the full IP development lifecycle, managing budgets and timelines while ensuring all milestones are met.
- Supervise the team to ensure all project documentation, databases, and research are executed to a professional standard.
- Coordinate across departments, including Art, Production, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure the development plan is realistic and strategically sound.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports for executives, showcasing project progression.
JOB AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- 5-7+ years of experience in content development, creative producing, or IP management within the animation, gaming, or film industries.
- Passion for storytelling, animation, and building global franchises.
- Proficiency in presentation and organizational tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Good command of both English and Thai (written and verbal) for professional communication and international networking.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising direct reports and cross-departmental workflows.
- Full ability to travel internationally to represent the studio at major festivals and industry events.
- An existing network of contacts within global streaming platforms, broadcasters, or distribution hubs is a plus.
