Business Development Executive (Game Industry)

JOB BRIEF:

Business Development plays a critical role in leading and driving the company’s financial growth and mission to improve the company’s market position, increase the company’s bottom line, Attract and pursue new clients as well as identify analyze recommend and execute value creation opportunities (such as a new revenue stream, a new market and/or new business venture or tie-up), Leveraging on your extensive experience and knowledge of the Game Industry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the company’s market share, revenue, and client portfolio in the gaming industry, with a focus on game development partnerships, licensing deals, and other collaborations.
  • Identify potential high-value opportunities such as game IPs, joint ventures, mergers, or acquisitions that can drive business growth.
  • Work closely with the management team to set business goals and strategies based on market trends and developments in the gaming industry.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, project updates, and progress toward business targets.
  • Stay up to date with gaming industry trends and consumer preferences, providing insights into how the company can position itself effectively against competitors.
  • Engage with potential investors, partners, and stakeholders to present the company’s offerings and negotiate deals.
  • Collaborate with game development and marketing teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and product strategies.
  • Handle other tasks as needed, while ensuring compliance with company policies and internal processes.

JOB AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Business Development, preferably in the gaming industry or related entertainment sectors.
  • Proven track record of detecting, qualifying and closing new business.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships with external partners, developers, publishers, and investors.
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal) is required. Other languages proficiency at a business level is advantageous.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A passion for gaming and understanding of the gaming industry trends, technologies, and consumer behaviors.
